EBR President:

Bruce Delagrange, President Candidate
I am excited to announce that I am running for the role of President of the Eastern Buckeye Region Porsche Club of America and would be honored to continue to serve our great club. I would continue to support the high participation events while being open to new events. I grew up in northern Indiana as the youngest of four boys. My father had an incredible love for auto racing and therefore, my brothers and I developed a passion for all things fast. We raced go-karts, mini bikes, motorcycles, snowmobiles and boats. My family were all members of the Northern Central Corvette Club and were very active in the club. My love for Porsches started with my wife, Mary Ann and I looking for a sports car. After several non-Porsche test drives, my wife suggested a Porsche. We went to Porsche Beachwood to test drive a Cayman and got hooked. Then the search was on. Looking through ads with a road trip in mind; we found the Cayman about 4 miles from home. (Loss of the road trip was the only disappointment). I joined PCA in 2012 after purchasing a 2007 Cayman. With the encouragement of many of the board members, I began volunteering and participating in some of the auto cross events. My wife and I became more active and have hosted or assisted in many of the dinner drives, poker runs, new member brunches and other social events. We have been to multiple PCA Parade events and have met some of the nicest people with similar interests. I was appointed by the EBR Board as the New-Member Chair Person in 2023. It has been both rewarding and interesting to work with PCA National and new members. I have developed the new Eastern Buckeye Region Club logo. In addition, I was instrumental in implementing a local Goodie Store for members to purchase official EBR apparel. Most recently, I coordinated a new PCA Regional Webstore on the PCA national web page where members are able to purchase PCA/EBR merchandise. Some of the volunteer positions that I have held in the past outside EBR include 15 years as league Secretary for a 22-team golf league, League Secretary for a traveling mixed scramble golf league, hosted multiple charity golf outings and served 18 years as a Roving Marshall at the Bridgestone Golf Invitational. I retired from the Babcock and Wilcox Company after 41 years of service in design engineering. My last position was as a manager of a group that worked on custom design combustion system’s projects to meet customers specific needs or goals. Personal interests that I have include hiking, biking, golfing, kayaking, fishing, and of course all things Porsche related. I would be able to assume the role of President of the Eastern Buckeye Region as I have experience, knowledge of the Club and enthusiasm to create a great Porsche region. I am eager to contribute to the club’s growth and help fellow members make the most of their Porsche ownership experience.

Tom Stewart, President Candidate
I have been a PCA member since 2012 and have been the proud owner of 3 different vehicles, a 1982 928, a 2000 911 Cabriolet, and my current a 2004 911 Turbo Cabriolet. Since my retirement I have been regularly attending board meeting for the past few years. Soon after joining the Club, I began participating in our driving tours and social events. My hopes would be to find ways to get an increase in member involvement, help form committees for the planning of dinner drives, multi day or weekend driving tours and charity events. I feel that I bring a new perspective to the club for member participation. After all, we have purchased some beautiful and expensive cars, so let’s get out there and drive them. I would be honored to serve the EBR as president and will do my best to fulfill my duties and responsibilities and represent Eastern Buckeye Region well.

EBR Vice President:

Susan Hill, Vice President Candidate
Hi, I am Susan Hill and have been with the Eastern Buckeye Region Porsche Club of America since 2019. I am the current EBR board member holding the role of Activities and Social Chair, seeking to run for Vice President. My experience organizing numerous club events such as monthly dinners, poker runs, banquets, clam bakes and picnics, makes me a strong candidate for Vice President. In this role as the Activities and Social Chair I work closely with the current board to ensure that all events are well planned and enjoyable for everyone. In the past I have held the position of Secretary, Vice President and President for the Employee Council at Akron Children’s Hospital. I have also been on several committees throughout my career at the hospital and at my church. As the VP, I feel that I will assist the President, Secretary and Treasurer along with other committee members to continue to build the Eastern Buckeye Region Porsche Club we are all proud of. Thank you for your support.

Susan Hill
EBR Vice President Candidate

EBR Treasurer:

Kathy Bernstein, Treasurer Candidate
My name is Kathy Bernstein, and I have been a member of the Eastern Buckeye Region PCA for over thirty years, having had the great luck of marrying Jeff Bernstein, a Porsche enthusiast extraordinaire! I am involved in the social aspect of the club extensively and have attended many Board meetings. I have had the opportunity to discuss the role of treasurer with Jeff, who has been a treasurer for the club for many years, and feel very qualified to take over this job. I had large departmental budgets to oversee in my job of Director of Disability Support Services and Military Services at a community college and handle most of my family’s finances as well. I am excited at the possibility of becoming Treasurer for this great club and at the opportunity to work with so many great current and future members of the club.

EBR Secretary:

Julie Soduk, Secretary Candidate
Hi, my name is Julie Soduk. I have been an EBR/PCA member for a little more than two decades, originally due to my husband Walt’s obsession with Porsches. I’ve experienced many board meetings, worked track events, helped at auto crosses, navigated dinner drives, attended Porsche Parades, and enjoyed quite a few EBR Summer Parties! I’ve appreciated the many kind people & wonderful friendships we’ve encountered. I’m interested in becoming the EBR secretary. I retired as a teacher 6 years ago. Part of the tasks I completed, besides teaching, were participating in several local and state committees. Most notable, I was the chairperson of the district’s teacher licensure committee. The responsibilities for this position, included but weren’t limited to, managing and organizing the meetings, taking the minutes, and typing up the minutes and the agenda each month. My most important duties were to read every teacher’s application, then send them to each committee member, next read each member’s recommendation on the application, and lastly approve or reject the application for licensure renewal. I look forward to continuing our involvement in the EBR club and supporting all EBR activities locally and nationally.

Jennifer Kling, Secretary Candidate
Hi, I’m Jennifer Kling, proud Porsche owner for the past two years, and a new member of EBR PCA. Over the past year, it’s been fun meeting like-minded people with beautiful cars. Married into a car family, (Kling Motors in Canton) for 31 years, Steve and I have enjoyed the club, and look forward to increasing our involvement through volunteering, contributing and making new friendships. I’m running for Secretary to: inspire new membership, increase awareness of EBR-PCA, and share relevant Porsche information, like winding Ohio roads to drive! I would appreciate your vote!
