EBR Dinner Drive September 25th

Our next dinner drive will be on Saturday, September 25th.  We will meet at 6:00 pm in the Park & Ride located at the intersection of Rt. 21 & Marshallville St ( this is one exit North of 93).  We will depart from the Park & Ride at 6:15.

We will be ending the drive at Hot Rod City http://www.hotrodcityusainc.com/ in New Philadelphia.  It is a unique restaurant that is the result of years of automobilia collecting by owner Greg Donaldson. At Hot Rod City you’ll find not only good food, but one of the largest neon displays in the country, all located on Main Street America, which has been reconstructed down the middle of the restaurant.

Hot Rod City serves up a menu of excellent burgers and hot dogs, subs, salads, wings, pasta, soups and various entrees. You can top off your meal with one of our premium Velvet ice cream desserts. Be sure and make time to visit our gift shop and play in our video game room.

Come join us in what should be a fun drive ending at a unique restaurant.

Autocross Reminder and EBR Member Engagement at the Rally

The rally this weekend was a huge success with a large turnout for a really challenging rally.  It was an extra special rally since it was the first rally that EBR has had where someone got engaged.  Alex Soduk had an bonus rally question added to Meredith’s and his rally questionnaire.  It was about finding a romantic place on a walking track which Alex used to propose to Meredith at the end of the rally.

We all congratulate both Alex and Meredith on their engagement!

Don’t forget to come to the EBR Autocross this Sunday 8/29 on the parking lot at the Hartville Marketplace & Flea Market in Hartville (1289 Edison Street Northwest, Hartville).  This is a fun way to learn how to better handle your car at speeds you drive every day.  Come out to run you car or to just watch the fun.

Registration starts at 12:00 and the cars start running at 1:00. If you have any questions contact Jeff Bernstein at 234-380-3027 or email me at Jeff.Bernstein@psangelus.com

Come join the fun!

It’s EBR Rally Time!!!

The Eastern Buckeye Region of PCA will be hosting our annual Summer Fun Rally this Saturday, August 21.  These events have been very popular in the past, and this year’s event is shaping up to be another great time!  Our rallies follow a “gimmick rally” format, which is basically a visual scavenger hunt following a written route.  No experience or special equipment is needed to participate, although we do suggest that each car has two rallyers aboard to help with navigation!  Come join us for a great evening of fun, food, and friends!

Rally teams should meet at the Hilton Garden Inn at the Akron- Canton Airport exit off of I-77 on Saturday beginning around 5:30 pm, with the last car leaving around 6:00pm.  The rally route should take 1.5-2 hours to complete, finishing up at Danny Boy’s Italian Eatery, 6081 Dressler Road NW,  in North Canton, just east of the Hall of Fame Bridge over I-77.

EBR members not wishing to participate in the rally are encouraged to join us at Danny Boy’s around 7:30 or 8:00 pm for great food, presentation of prizes (!), and good times.

Feel free to direct any questions to Sean Monigold at smonigold@sssnet.com or 330-575-8497.  Hope to see all of you there!
