• 7:45 AM – Meetup & Information: Chili’s Grill & Bar (4133 Belden Village Mall,
Canton, OH).
• 8:00 AM – Wheels Up: Prompt departure. We will stop at the West Virginia Welcome
Center for a quick stretch break.
• 11:30 – Lunch: Heading south on I-77 to US-60 East for a scenic drive to the Historic
Glen Ferris Inn for lunch. https://www.glenferrisinn.com/restaurant.
• Afternoon – The Cruise to Virginia: After lunch, we’ll take US-60, US 16 and US 19
to I 64/77 at Beckley WV. Then onto 81 West, and ending the day in historic Abingdon,
Virginia. https://visitabingdonvirginia.com/. There will be a stop at Marathon Gas
Station for fuel on US-60.
• 6:30 PM: We will be joining Wilderness Trail Region PCA for dinner at Tennessee
Hills Distillery, (90 Tennessee Hills Way, Bristol TN 37620). Enjoy live music, good
food, meeting new PCA members, and a lineup of Porsches to view. Super casual and

• 9:00 AM – Morning Briefing: Meet at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Abingdon, 923 E Main
St, Abingdon, VA, 24210. Leaving at 9:15 to go to Marion.
• 9:45 AM – Regroup: A quick stop behind the Citgo station, 1121 N Main St., Marion,
VA to line up before getting on the dragon.
• 10:00 AM Depart to the Dragon Back of the Dragon: We will tackle the legendary 32
mile stretch of Route 16 to the Tazewell Welcome Center.
• Approximately 11:00 AM – Lunch & Shopping: Food and beverages at the Welcome
Center, with time to browse the official gift shop. https://backofthedragon.com/the-road/
• 1:00 PM Departure – “God’s Thumbprint”: A scenic 30-minute drive into Burke’s
Garden, Virginia’s highest mountain valley. We will spend a few hours exploring the
area and making a few unique stops.
• Mid Afternoon – The Return Run: Head back out via the Dragon, driving southbound
back toward Abingdon. This is a good time to fill up the gas tank for the drive on
Sunday.
• Evening – Dinner: We can decide to dine together or induvial at a local restaurant.
Group discussion throughout the day about dining.
Sunday, September 27, 2026. For those interested in driving back together, we are
currently finalizing a scenic return route. Since sections of our planned route along the Blue
Ridge Parkway are under construction, final details and departure timing will be shared soon.
